Summer Academy in International Commercial Arbitration

The Summer Academy in International Commercial Arbitration (SAIICA) is since 1994.a cooperation of the Georgia State University College of Law, Georgia, USA and the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria.

Students from the JKU are welcome to join the course which is a regular course in the summer semester (LVA Nr. 147.009 und 147.006).

The SAIICA consists of two separate three semester hour courses:

1. Seminar in Comparative Law - International Commercial Arbitration
This Seminar addresses the basic principles relevant to commercial arbitration as a dispute resolution device in international commerce.

2. Seminar in European International Commercial Arbitration:
This seminar serves as an introduction to legal concepts, doctrines and principles bearing on the current status of international commercial arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism alternative to litigation in central and Eastern European court systems.
